Kate White: Musician & Teacher

I am a musician and teacher living in the beautiful city of York.

I play the saxophone, clarinet and piano and am versatile in a wide range of musical styles, from classical through to pop, rock and jazz.
In the classical world I regularly play in a number of orchestral and chamber groups as well as doing solo and concerto work.

I explore pop, rock and jazz by playing my saxophone in a successful 6-piece function band called White Starrs, comprising Vocals, Keys, Guitar, Saxes, Bass & Drums.

I am also a committed instrumental teacher and enjoy teaching at Bootham and The Mount schools, York St. John University and privately.

I cater for all ages, standards and styles..
